For those of us who live in the Northeast, once the holiday season comes to a close, winter can mean hibernating from the cold, snow, and wind. However, at MasterPLAN Outdoor Living we are already planning for our Spring 2020 projects!
Some of those projects include luxury outdoor kitchens complete with state-of-the-art appliances, custom patios with unique fire features, low-maintenance decks with multiple zones, luxury swimming pools, hardscape and landscape design, and more. By starting now, our clients know they will be ready to show off their outdoor living space to family and friends at their 2020 Memorial Day parties and beyond.
In fact, there are many benefits to starting your master plan during the chilly winter months. Check out the top 3 reasons winter is the best time to hire a design-build team to transform your backyard.
Skip the Mud
Many of our clients are shocked to learn that frozen ground and dry air are ideal conditions for digging foundations and pouring footings. Once spring has sprung we have the challenges of navigating muddy conditions, humid air, and spring showers. These challenges could make it more difficult to dig and slows down the curing process for concrete.
By starting your project in the winter, we will take full advantage of the winter soil. Since it tends to be easier to work with, our clients end up saving time and money by starting to dig during the winter season.
Expedite Approvals
Why waste time waiting on permits during the busy spring and summer seasons? On average, it takes 4-6 weeks to receive a construction permit and waiting for spring could put your project way behind schedule.
By applying for permits during the winter season, we help our clients expedite the process. The townships are less likely to receive a slew of applicants during the winter season, so this will expedite your approval process and enable our team to deliver your project just in time to enjoy the spring and summer weather.
Less Interruption
Since you are less likely to pursue outdoor activities during the winter season, starting your project now will result in fewer lifestyle interruptions come spring! Our clients also find that their schedules are lighter during the winter months which allows more time to collaborate with their outdoor living designer. Taking time to define your outdoor living goals is key to creating your one-of-a-kind 3D landscape design.
Overall, when it comes to beginning the conversation about your outdoor living space it is best to contact your designer during the winter season. If you are ready to discover the true potential of your backyard, our designers are ready to hear from you! Serving the Poconos, Lehigh Valley, Main Line of Philadelphia, and western New Jersey, MasterPLAN Outdoor Living is committed to partnering with you to transform your property into the space you and your family have always dreamed of.
What are you waiting for? Let’s chat about how we can transform your backyard in 2020!
Instead of spending your spring and summer seasons observing your backyard transformation, we encourage you to start a conversation with your designer now so you can take full advantage of every ounce of the beautiful spring and summer seasons.
